Happy memories of Jack. He always had the most wonderful smile that made life feel good in his company. I have been very fortunate to have shared celebrations with Jack especially his Surprise Birthday Party, Richard & Shelli's most wonderful Wedding Day/Week. Evening meals out, a party at our then home & Christmas times when Richard & Jack competed against Shelli, the Kids & I in a Family Quiz......guess who won??? It was a really happy evening as always with Jack. My 'young' children as they were then, would receive a special gift from Jack that always warmed my heart, for Jack was a kind & giving Man whom I grew to love as a very Special Man, Family Member. I felt honoured to visit Jack in his last place of home, every time I did, he would still give a little smile here & there. GOD BLESS YOU JACK. Before I finish, I just have to add, Jack sure did have a love for sweet things, especially for deserts, so wherever you may go from here, may you always be blessed with the best sweet tasting deserts there could possibly be ❤️ Diane Sealey

Not quite sure what Jack and Barbara thought when Richard first brought his chatty London friend with a penchant for drinking and smoking home, but they welcomed me with open arms, a cup of tea (and glass of wine) great convo and a chair - be it in their dining rm, living rm or wonderful back garden 😍 Being a London gal, I’d never seen the likes of their garden before! I was welcomed back time and again and even given my own room! On many occasions, and especially after Rich’s famous garden parties, I’d awake to the scent of bacon sarnies and a proper cup of tea to nurse me back to humanity. They’d never get rid of me until early afternoon as the company and setting were both too enticing to leave. Fab memories that I will cherish forever 😍 Jack Beams, a true gentleman and 1 in a million, your friendly nature and warm smile will be missed by all who had the privilege to meet you! X Angela Ross

Jack was my uncle - Barbara was my Mum’s younger sister. Jack was directly responsible for my entry (at the tender age of 17) into the world of motoring, as I bought my first car from him. It was a ten-year-old Austin 1300, a British Leyland special for which I paid Jack the princely sum of £250. Over the next four years I learned just about everything there is to know about how a car works, mainly because I spent most of my time fixing it when it broke down! As well as its many mechanical faults it also slowly rusted away, to the point where the bodywork was more fibreglass than metal by the time I finally parted company with it. I’ve driven lots of cars since then, all of which were more reliable, but I still have many fond memories of those times. I remember that my Mum, Dad, my brother Andrew and I visited Barbara, Jack, Richard and Martin on a regular basis when I was growing up, first at their home in Bulphan and later when they moved to Billericay. Lots and lots of happy memories - and Jack was a big part of them. A genuinely good guy, and someone that I was proud to have as my uncle. Rest in peace. Rob Farnham
