Not quite sure what Jack and Barbara thought when Richard first brought his chatty London friend with a penchant for drinking and smoking home, but they welcomed me with open arms, a cup of tea (and glass of wine) great convo and a chair - be it in their dining rm, living rm or wonderful back garden 😍 Being a London gal, I’d never seen the likes of their garden before! I was welcomed back time and again and even given my own room! On many occasions, and especially after Rich’s famous garden parties, I’d awake to the scent of bacon sarnies and a proper cup of tea to nurse me back to humanity. They’d never get rid of me until early afternoon as the company and setting were both too enticing to leave.
